The most iconic of all of our courses: The Career Course. The first of its kind, set up as a modern approach to professional floristry study and has allowed us to proudly watch countless alumni peruse their dream careers in the flower industry and is behind many floral success stories both in the UK and internationally.
During this four week course you will cover all bases and learn the skills you need to start a career as a florist. Everyday is filled with practical classes where you will learn to make a range of stunning hand-tied bouquets, beautiful arrangements constructed in floral foam in all different shapes and sizes, elegant funeral tributes, fabulous wedding designs and intricate wiring work. Alongside the practical, we provide students with the insider knowledge of logistics, costing and coordination needed when working in the industry. All of the skills you learn throughout your time at The Jane Packer Flower School will be tested in your final week with us, where you will design, plan, purchase and create your own wedding flowers - providing you will all the knowledge required to make it as a world class floral designer.
Now based on George Street, Marylebone we host smaller, intimate class sizes to allow a more one-on-one style of teaching. We pride ourselves on the ability to build relationships and mentor our students to provide them with the best support possible alongside a world-class education preparing them to endeavor into the flower industry independently by the time they have to leave us.
The cost of the course included all of your materials and flowers - including a set of essential floristry vases and props you will need to replicate designs at home and a manual of the course filled with notes for you to refer back to. Upon completion of the course, you will be presented an industry recognized certificate and given the opportunity of work experience in our busy London stores or workroom. You also have the option to continue onto our Advanced Career Course.
Our courses run Monday through to Friday, starting at 10am and concluding around 4pm each day - with the exception of one early start when we visit the New Covent Garden Flower Market. Light refreshments will be plentifully provided throughout the session, alongside teas and coffee.
