Tricks of The Trade: "What was the proudest moment of your career so far?"

Posted

From the utmost seasoned floral designers to fresh and budding talent: we are proud of our team of innovative, passionate and dedicated florists. On the blog today, we are celebrating our florists whilst discussing the proudest moments in their careers so far.

One of proudest moment of my career was designing event flowers for Althorp House which was Princess Diana’s ancestral home, and getting a job working for Jane Packer Flowers. We studied Jane’s books when I was at college (about 15 years before I got my job here!) and she has always been one of my icons.

Doing the victory bouquets for the 2012 London Olympics. It was a stressful but amazing experience and I am so glad I was involved – I was even interviewed about it for Japanese newspapers!

Being in charge of the nationwide deliveries over peak times such as Valentines Day and Mothers Day and successfully delivering beautiful bouquets to countless recipients across the country! It was very challenging to say the least but a huge sense of happiness once we got through it!

It would have to be my involvement in the 2012 London Olympics where I trained students in Kingston Maurward College to make the victory bouquets, and then stayed in Dorset during the main games and the Paralympics to make the bouquets for the sailing events around Weymouth. It was also a proud moment for all of the Jane Packer team when we were awarded Gold and Best In Show for our exhibit at The Hampton Court Flower Show in 2013.

I started working for Jane Packer during the summer of 2012, and the Olympics was such a special time for London and for all of us working for Jane Packer at the time! Being part of the team that constructed our 2013 Hampton Court Flower Show display that won both Gold and Best in Show was also a real a highlight for me.
